Tuition Services
Every tuition programme is built around the individual student β their exam board, their current level, their target grade, and their timeline. We do not deliver generic lessons from a pre-written scheme. We teach.
Tuition is where our expertise is proven week after week β the same depth of subject knowledge and academic insight that underpins our private consultancy work. Families often begin here and move into strategic consultancy support as their child approaches key transitions β 11+, GCSE options, or university application.
Primary Entry
For many families, the 11+ is their child’s first high-stakes academic test. The pressure is real β and preparation matters enormously. We prepare students thoroughly, building both the skills and the confidence to perform on the day.
Start 12–18 months before the exam. 6 months is the absolute minimum for meaningful preparation.
We cover both CEM and GL Assessment formats, adapting to your target schools.
Codes, analogies, word patterns, and logical deduction. We build the underlying vocabulary and analytical skills, not just familiarity with question types.
Spatial awareness, pattern recognition, and matrix problems. We develop the visual reasoning ability that underpins consistent NVR performance.
Arithmetic, fractions, ratios, algebra, and geometry at the level required for selective entry. All content mapped to exam board expectations.
Reading for inference, vocabulary in context, and structured written response. Taught with the precision of exam technique, not general literacy.
SATs Preparation β Key Stage 2
Year 6 SATs in Mathematics, Reading, and Grammar, Punctuation & Spelling are a key milestone for many students. We provide structured SATs preparation that builds genuine understanding alongside exam confidence β ensuring students are not just practised, but genuinely prepared.
Ages 11–14
KS3 foundations directly determine GCSE confidence. We treat Years 7–9 with the same rigour as exam stages.
Number and algebra foundations, geometry, ratio and proportion, statistics, and probability. Structured to ensure every topic is genuinely mastered before GCSE work begins.
Cells and organisation, nutrition and digestion, reproduction, genetics, and ecology β introduced with the depth and precision that makes A-Level biology accessible later.
Atoms, elements, and reactions in Chemistry; forces, energy, waves, and electricity in Physics. Core conceptual understanding developed before GCSE specifications begin.
Ages 14–16
GCSE grades are the gateway to sixth form, A-Level choices, and ultimately university. We take GCSE tuition seriously β providing structured, exam-board-specific support that delivers real grade improvements.
Foundation and Higher tier. All major exam boards covered: AQA, Edexcel (Pearson), OCR, and Cambridge iGCSE. We cover every topic area systematically, with particular focus on the higher-mark algebraic, geometric, and statistical questions that determine final grades.
Triple Science and Combined Science routes. Taught by a PhD biologist — the depth of subject knowledge available to our students at GCSE level is exceptional. Cell biology, genetics, physiology, ecology, and evolution taught with genuine expertise.
Atomic structure, bonding, quantitative chemistry, organic chemistry, and chemical analysis. Clear, structured teaching that builds the conceptual understanding required for high marks on extended-answer questions.
Forces, energy, waves, electricity, magnetism, and space physics. Taught with an emphasis on the application of mathematical skills within physics — the area where students most frequently lose marks.
Ages 16–18
A-Level and IB Mathematics and Biology are the most common subjects our students study with us at this level. These are also the subjects where the jump in difficulty from GCSE is most pronounced β and where the right tutor makes the most measurable difference.
| Subject | Level | Boards / Pathways |
|---|---|---|
| Mathematics | A-Level | AQA, Edexcel, OCR, OCR(MEI) |
| Further Mathematics | A-Level | AQA, Edexcel, OCR |
| Mathematics AA | IB SL & HL | Analysis & Approaches |
| Mathematics AI | IB SL & HL | Applications & Interpretation |
| Biology | A-Level | AQA, Edexcel, OCR, WJEC |
| Biology | IB SL & HL | IB Diploma Programme |
Proof, algebra, functions, coordinate geometry, sequences, trigonometry, exponentials, and calculus. The largest component of A-Level Maths — and the area where depth of understanding matters most.
Applied mathematics in both statistical and mechanical contexts. Taught with clear links to the Pure content and with emphasis on the written interpretation marks that separate A from A*.
The IB Mathematics IA is an extended investigation worth 20% of the final grade. We provide specialist support throughout the process — from topic selection and exploration to mathematical communication and final write-up.
Higher Education
We support students at university with the academic challenges that their courses demand β from first-year transition through to dissertation and Masters-level work. This is where Dr Chauhan’s PhD-level expertise and university teaching background becomes particularly valuable.
Biology to Masters
Cell biology, genetics, physiology, molecular biology, and research methods at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Taught by someone who has conducted original research in metabolic diseases.
Statistics & Research Methods
Data analysis, hypothesis testing, SPSS, R, and dissertation methodology. Dr Chauhan’s doctoral specialisation in medical statistics gives him exceptional expertise in this area.
Academic Writing
Essay structure, scientific report writing, literature review techniques, and academic argument construction for science and mathematics disciplines.
Dissertation Support
From research question formulation and methodology design through to results interpretation, discussion, and conclusion writing. Undergraduate and Masters level.
